Three days, 13 team pilots, 130 flights, eleven water landings (nine of which were planned) and a priceless amount of learning and laughter: nobody will soon forget the AirDesign Austria team meeting at Lake Achensee. This summer, Pierre-Antoine Durand was selected to participate in his first world cup in Aksaray, Turkey and made good use of his Volt 4.

Last June, AirDesign France organised a meeting for their team pilots. The idea? To spend some time together to get to know each other better, discover the latest products and of course fly with them. Mission accomplished!

Our team pilot Jakob Schrödel took part in his first serious competition, the Pyhrn Priel Cup/Austrian championship and finished 2nd in the Sport category, flying the Volt 4. Here is his story, along with some tips for who might get into comp. Worth the reading!

Felix Wimberger has only been flying for two years but already clocked in more than 150 hours on his Soar. The X-Race in Salzkammergut (Austria) was his first hike-and-fly comp and he ended second in the Adventure category. An amazing achievement of which he decided to tell us the story.

The concept of Everesting is fiendishly simple: pick any hill, anywhere in the world and ride repeats of it in a single activity until you climb 8,848m. That's exactly what Raphael decided to do, hiking up 10 times and flying down 9 times the Kreuzjoch in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with his beloved SuSi for a total of 9500 meters vertical elevation.
