Spitzmauer Ostwand climb & fly with Michael Kraeftner
The east face of the Spitzmauer is a very rarely feasible tour in winter. In summer, alpine climbing is in the third grade of difficulty, in winter this line becomes a challenge for true alpinists…
Michael Kraeftner has been flying since 1987. Together with Stephan Stiegler he was in the national team! His true passion is to climb mountains and fly down- especially the Ortler north face and others… This time he decided to face the east face of the Spitzmauer, the second highest mountain in the Dead Mountains in Upper Austria. A very special and awaited tour that took him a total of 7h30 to complete. He flew down with the new UFO 13 and was truly delighted about it. Congrats Michael!
