LiVi 2 – #LightUpTheSky

In the luminous meadows of the Alps, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and the wind rippling through the grass, Agnès sits down and opens her favorite comic book. She follows the adventures of heroes capable of flying above the mountains with their piece of fabric, free as the air. Little by little, the pages seem to fade away, and she imagines herself rising in turn above the mountains, brushing against the clouds. When she closes the comic book, the sky suddenly seems closer to her, as if her dream were no longer so far away.

Designer’s words

“Renewing the Vivo and LiVi ranges was no small feat! We were deeply attached to the ease of use and versatility of these wings. Nevertheless, with these two new generations, we wanted to reach a new level:

Our goal was to design true EN-B gliders that genuinely belong in their categories. The challenge was to improve handling precision and performance while maintaining the same aspect ratio and a playful character. And not forgetting the feather-light weight for the LiVi!

Between pilot accessibility and wing maneuverability, I believe we have finally found the right recipe… Now it’s your turn to tell us!”

While the LiVi 2 benefits from a similar design to the Vivo 3, special care has been taken to lighten its structure. It is the ideal wing for those who don’t want to choose between thermal flying and Hike & Fly.

Construction & Features

=
If you only had to remember one thing about the LiVi 2, it’s that it stands for “Light Vivo”! Simply put, it packs all the features of the Vivo 3 but with 1kg less.
=
The LiVi 2 sits alongside the Vivo 3, between the Eazy and the Soar. While it shares the same goal of exploiting the full potential of the B category, it is the logical next step for pilots seeking lightness as they progress from an EN-A or an entry-level B wing.
=
If we had to note one difference between the Vivo 3 and the LiVi 2 other than weight, it would surely be the LiVi’s dynamic handling. Its maneuverability in turns is ideal for making the most of thermals after reaching takeoff on foot.
=
The risers are inspired by High-B wings and feature integrated rear-riser steering bars. Combined with our Short Line Design, they transform accelerated flight into a playground rather than a zone of discomfort. You learn to play with different flight regimes at your own pace and in the best possible conditions.
=
Compared to the first generation, the brake travel has been lengthened, widening the passive safety window in all conditions. This allows you to learn how to top-land at takeoff with complete confidence.

Between pilot accessibility and lightness in the rucksack, the LiVi 2 is ready for any type of adventure, whether on foot or in the air.

AirDesign has a small one

We work hard on every model to be able to maintain the behavior of the glider in terms of flying, and also outside the flight envelope, for all the certified weights, starting by the smallest ones. The certification of most of our wings starts at 50 kg because we chose to announce only what we have actually tested. And above all, because we make sure that the glider is efficient, secure and fun at this load and this is as important as the certification itself! Our aim is to have light pilots find the same pleasure to fly as heavier ones. More info
