Charles de Beaufort

Introduce yourself in a few words…
I’m Charles de Beaufort, 26 years old Hike & Fly and Cross country pilot. I started Paragliding 6 years ago and immediately got addicted to it. I live in Grenoble and I’m a true mountain addict.

How do you practice paragliding?
The practice I love the most is Hike & Fly, it respresent for me the pure spirit of Paragliding. I also love cross country flying and try to push the limit of distance flying.

I’m doing a lot of competitions (Hike and Fly and XC), I love the fact that competing is always pushing me to Fly better, faster and learns to me to be a better pilot.

In 2026, I’ll be part of one of the toughest Hike & Fly races in the world : Xpyr. This competiton is a good prologue before my biggest dream : the Redbull Xalps !

And AirDesign in all this ?
AirDesign is for me the pure spirit of Hike & Fly. I’m flying the Hero Xped for Hike & Fly races and XC flying but I also love to take a Susi Xped for a Alpinism day as taking of from summit of Mont Blanc. Air Design is for me like a family, working together towards doing Paragliding better !
